On the September 15th episode of Looking Backwards Looking Forwards, I wrote about the Russian position regarding the US technology being used in long range missiles and fired from Ukraine. I opened it with this, “I should have led with this and only wrote about this considering how it has advanced over the last 3-4 days.” I can safely safe that I should have written about this topic and nothing else including floods and hurricanes for the last 30 days. I have been trying to make sure I could get confirmation regarding this story but frankly it seems well known among intelligence circles at this point. In that piece we mentioned how Justin Trudeau supported the use of long-range weapons and Keir Starmer from the UK supported the use of long range missiles. Let me just quote myself, that’s a first but second today it sets the stage for today. “This from ZeroHedge
“On Friday Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, informed the UN Security council that NATO countries would “start an open war” in allowing Western long-range missiles to target Russia. “NATO would become directly involved in military action against a nuclear power. I don’t think I have to explain what consequences that would have,” Nebenzia concluded. This followed up Putin’s comments from the day before referring to the west using long range missiles, he said “This would constitute their direct participation, and this, of course, changes the very essence, the very nature of the conflict. It will mean that NATO countries, the United States and European countries, are at war with Russia.”
This has continued “Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov on Friday added to prior Kremlin warnings, telling Rossiya 24 channel that he fears American leadership and the people are under “illusion”.
He said they seem to think that “if there is a conflict, it will not spread to the territory of the United States of America.”
Antonov continued by stressing that Americans can’t hide from nuclear war if this unthinkable happens. “I am constantly trying to convey to them one thesis that the Americans will not be able to sit it out behind the waters of this ocean. This war will affect everyone, so we constantly say – do not play with this rhetoric,” Antonov stated according to state media translation.”
This was all in the week leading up to Friday the 13th of September. Then the story drops in the Guardian and the New York Times, this from The Guardian via ZeroHedge, “The Guardian story on Sept. 11 said:
“The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, gave his strongest hint yet that the White House is about to lift its restrictions on Ukraine using long-range weapons supplied by the west on key military targets inside Russia, with a decision understood to have already been made in private.
Speaking in Kyiv alongside the UK foreign secretary, David Lammy, Blinken said the US had ‘from day one’ been willing to adapt its policy as the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine changed. ‘We will continue to do this,’ he emphasized.”
To fire British Storm Shadows, Ukraine would have to depend on British technical soldiers on the ground in Ukraine to actually launch them and on U.S. geolocation technology. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz revealed those British soldiers are already in Ukraine.
In other words, it would be a NATO attack on Russia, dressed up as a Ukrainian one. It would mean the U.S. and Britain were at war with Moscow, something Blinken seems to want and said was going to happen.”
What happened next was that Putin came out with the comments that we already mentioned saying using American technology would be an act of war against Russia. Blinken and the UK’s counterpart David Lammy met on September 10, three days before Friday the 13th, to finalize plans on joining forces on firing long range missiles into Russia.
This from AKRainier’s Substack, “On the occasion, Blinken and Lammy almost certainly finalized the plan to commit both nations to aiding Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with western-supplied long range precision missiles. Only two days later, the Prime Minister Starmer flew to Washington again to meet with President Biden, ostensibly to “discuss” the events in Ukraine among other things. Now, the Prime Minister wouldn’t normally travel and meet with his U.S. counterpart just to “discuss” things. Their meeting would take place only at the point when the agreement could be signed and announced in a joint press conference: a public showing of their unity, shared objectives and determination. In fact, according to British government sources, the decisions had already been made, and Sir Keir brought all the paperwork with him. However, the signing ceremony never took place and neither did the joint press conference. Something went wrong. It appears that the U.S. military leadership took Vladimir Putin’s warning about this escalation seriously. According to some sources, Putin’s warning was reinforced through back-channel communications between the Russian military leadership and their American counterparts who understand that they were being pushed over the edge of total war.”
Now this was reported by a financial Substack article, but we have another source also detailing the same story. In an interview with Judge Napolitano on Sep 18, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell, this was broken down in Thomas Neuberger’s Substack with the video and as usual I am attaching all of this down below on our website “the Pentagon has taken over, essentially, diplomacy as well as any action, militarily speaking, with regard to both theaters of war,” meaning Ukraine and Israel. Wilkerson added, “And so they’re now in charge.” Austin, according to this telling, listened “to the people in the bowels of the Pentagon who know the truth” and forced the President to back down.
Biden was furious, we’re told, but “took that advice.” Except, as Wilkerson tells it, it wasn’t advice, but instruction. “No dice,” as Wilkerson characterized the message, sounds pretty final.”
This would mean that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called the shots and told the president to back down. Is that a military coup? Did that just happen? It would appear so…Scott Ritter, former chief UN weapons inspector in Iraq posted a video on the Schiller Institute saying this regarding the US and UK signing off on the UK’s Storm Shadow missile to fire into Russia “If Keir Starmer would have signed off on it, it is something that would have been implemented that night, its not something that would happen down the road, it would have happened that night Friday the 13th, and on Saturday the 14th we would all have been dead.” This is the same Scott Ritter who was removed from his role at the UN for having sex with an underage girl. He also has dinner with Robert Kennedy which he posted on Twitter. I was a little hesitant to use his information being a shady source, but the information seems credible as he was at the Russian Embassy on the night of Friday the 13th. He was there at the invitation of Anatoly Antonov the very same Russian Ambassador to the United States, who that morning told the UN general session that Russia would consider a signature on the missile pact as an act of war and that America will not be able to hide behind an ocean. Ritter also said that the Ambassador was distracted and concerned that night Friday the 13th. “He was uncertain if he would live the day.” He goes on to say, “I don’t know if you guys are hearing what I am saying, we all almost died on Saturday.”
Martin Armstrong a respected economic forecaster and an individual that appears very politically connected confirmed this story in an interview on CapitalCosm’s YouTube. Taken individually I might have some red flags about writing about this, but all together I think we have to take this seriously, although the US government will deny its occurrence. We likely had a coup where the military had to step in and save us from nuclear war. Let that sink in. I can’t make it seem real. My brain can’t make the jump. Who gets targeted, where? Does the market go down 50%, well it probably doesn’t even open. Business stops, Hurricane Helene and Milton are forgotten. Everything and everybody would change in an instant and we were this close. If this story was in the main stream media, I wonder if anyone would notice or we would be having a vote right now to remove Joe Biden from office for being so stupid that he thought this was a good idea.
Let’s put our stats hats on for a moment. Let’s say this story is 50% true or 50% false. It either happened or it didn’t. If it’s false then Joe Biden is still in charge somehow but the document he was hoping to sign didn’t get signed so I think 50% is too long of a probability. But perhaps he had a moment of clarity and said no, that’s no to a good idea. Great. Now let’s flip to the other probability. That means there was a 50% chance of Nuclear War with Russia happening within the last month. Folks, forgive me if I don’t talk much finance this week because frankly with those probabilities it doesn’t really matter. You might as well yolo hippo coins and forget saving for a rainy day if its 50/50 we live to see next month. My recommendation would be go out and eat some ice cream for breakfast, have sex all day without stretching first, try a line of cocaine and then try and sleep. You will then sleep about as well as I have since hearing about this coup in our country. This was a signature away, and Joe Biden was dumb enough to sign it.
Now if this causes restlessness and unease, let me hit you with some more goodies…If the name Lloyd Austin sounds familiar for long time listeners and readers of our dear cooperative, well it should. This was the same Lloyd Austin that we wrote about back on January 10th of this year. He had some health problems, and he transferred some operational duties to his deputy who was on vacation in Puerto Rico. This was the same guy that went into the hospital for four days as he was being treated for prostate cancer, but didn’t really tell anyone, especially the press. This caused Joe Buccino from RealClearWire to write this, “It is also a measure of reputational damage from which Secretary Lloyd Austin will never recover. He must be forced to resign… Lloyd Austin cannot recover from this breach of trust. In fact, he cannot be trusted any longer. If he wants to keep his hospital visits private, he should be allowed to do so – as a private citizen.” I beg to differ, Joe. I am 50% confident that I am very happy to have Mr. Austin not as a private citizen but as a military leader wise enough to help us avoid nuclear war. Whether he was wise enough or simply willing to listen to those in the back-channel capacities that were in the know that we were at a go-no-go moment we will never know. The man who was being treated for cancer and delegated some of his responsibilities to a gal on the beach in another country is running the country.
We have not signed the pact with Ukraine, and it seems like we won’t. That is a confirmation of sorts, but it is Israel that is even more interesting. Israel seems to be willing to take on a wounded Hezbollah without the backing of the US. At least if this story is true. They had severely wounded Hezbollah and Hezbollah keeps firing weapons and there are reports coming out of Israel that their missile defense capabilities are running low. Perhaps this is why they are willing to attack into Hezbollah held territory. What is interesting is the response Israel has had to Iran launching all those missiles. Which is mostly no response. Perhaps they don’t want to take on Iran without the US backing their play. That would probably be smart. Considering their last response to Iran was quite loud and contained airplane strikes this no response is also a confirmation of sorts that they might have hit the pause button in their aggression without the US military. They are currently saying they will not attack oil and nuclear targets so it seems a de-escalation of sorts is happening there and the 5% drop in oil prices today seems to confirm the de-escalation.
To put a bow on this scary probabilistic scenario is the global markets keep marching on with no geopolitical concerns whatsoever. I guess the threat of nuclear war doesn’t play a part in portfolio construction because there is no counterparty risk if everyone is dead. If you remember back to the Jan 10 article, my anger wasn’t directed at Lloyd Austin but the fact that Biden was so inconsequential that they didn’t bother to tell him. It turns out that he was, but when his chance to be consequential, the real powers at be, brushed him off. No wonder the democrats gave up on him. It doesn’t look like he has been president for a while. If you will allow me to quote myself one more time from the Jan 10 piece, “Let’s hope and pray for Lloyd Austin to have a quick and healthy recovery.” No kidding, since he appears to be the acting leader of this country. Any chance we could vote for him next month? I think I found my candidate.
Sincerely Yours,
